Waltet Invests in Greener Lorries
Despite the recession Waltet Group of Companies has invested over quarter of a million pounds in purchasing four new DAF vehicles fitted with the Euro 5 series engines that gives more fuel-efficiency and give out reduced emissions from the DAF main agents Adams Morey Limited of Southampton. The company have replaced older less efficient vehicles with two new skip lorries, one eight-wheel tipper with grab crane and one conventional eight-wheel tipper lorry.
When the company decided to invest in new vehicle to replace older vehicles joint managing directors Mark Howard and Dan Newbold insisted that “as a company involved with recycling and environmental solutions for waste management”, it is essential that they continued to lead the way by getting vehicles that are the cleanest and greenest for their locality. “Our industry has to use transport but we can help the environment by investing in the cleanest, greenest and most fuel-efficient vehicles available to transport it responsibly,” said Mark Howard when he took delivery of the four new trucks in the familiar red and black Waltet corporate livery. These vehicles have also been equipped with satellite tracking to increases efficient utilisation and eliminate wasted mileage.
“This purchase demonstrates our determination to make an environmental contribution to the locality by not only recycling its waste but by targeting the lorries that transports it,”
Alan Haskell, Adams Morey territorial manager said, “This is an excellent investment for Waltet and also gives a strong message to the community that this company cares about our environment as all these new lorries are fitted with the DAF Euro 5 engines which, gives a dramatic reduction in CO2 emissions coupled with better fuel consumption, so each vehicle will be using less fuel than the ones they are replacing.”
Waltet invest in greener lorries to protect our environment
“Well done and congratulation to the team at Waltet for showing that being green and caring for our environment makes commercial sense and not just an environmentalist’s dream.”
