Waltet sets up community grant scheme for Timsbury, Braishfield and Michelmersh residents and organisations
The Waltet Group has set up a scheme to sponsor individuals and local organisations within the parishes of Timsbury, Braishfield and Michelmersh. The scheme was the brainchild of the ex-Chairman of Hampshire County Council Michael Woodhall to help people achieve their aims and ambitions with a Waltet Community Grant of up to £250 per grant. Those wishing to apply for a grant can write directly for an application form to Michael J Woodhall FRICS at The Granary, North Houghton, Stockbridge, Hampshire SO20 6LF or email Michael.woodhall1@btinternet.com or by writing to Waltet Limited’s offices.
“The application form is very simple so it can be filled out within 5 minutes so anyone can do it. Today I see more and more grant application forms require pages of detailed information for even the smallest amount of grant money so people often are put off from applying,” said Alderman Woodhall. “Waltet already sponsors the football strips of Braishfield Football Club and that of the Braishfield Junior School football team but now individuals can apply as well. I am chairing the awards committee and under normal circumstances all applicants will have a decision within 21 days from the receipt of the application. Successful applicants will receive a cheque with their letter of approval.”
“I am delighted that Mark Howard and Dan Newbold the joint managing directors of Waltet and its sister company RFSF Limited have agreed to support this project. Waltet employs about 50 local people at their site in Bunny Lane and the recycling work they carry out is important in helping Hampshire County Council achieve its waste recycling targets as well as good news for our environment also by reducing the amount of waste that goes into landfill.”
Waltet prides itself upon being a “good neighbour” and plays an active role in the local community with its community fund awards and sponsorship.
