“What’s happening at your recycling plant”

RFSF Limited Applies for permanent planning approval

RFSF Limited a company in the Waltet Group of Companies has applied to Hampshire County Council for permanent planning permission on their materials reclamation facility at Bunny Lane so we can continue to play an important part ensuring that Hampshire County Council will achieve it waste recycling targets as set out by government and dramatically reduce the quantity of waste going into landfill.

Currently we recycle on average eighty percent of the contents of every skip we handle. We can improve on this amount but to do so will require a greater investment into the latest “state of the art” specialist machine but to justify this investment permanent planning permission is needed.

We currently employ contractors to supply and operate with wood shredders and concrete crushers only a few days every quarter. These are the specialist machines that turn concrete and bricks in recycled aggregate and waste wood into fuel for electricity generating stations and cattle bedding. These machines are some of the quietest available in the UK at the moment and operate behind large bunds so they are unobtrusive to staff as well as our neighbours. Everything we undertake on the site is approved by the Environmental Agency and Environmental Health plus we have an exemplary safety record both on site and for our transport fleet operation.

Waltet prides itself upon being a “good neighbour” and plays an active role in the local community with its community fund awards and sponsorship.
